I have 2 rockford fosgate 12" p2's and a 1000 hifonics brutus mono block amp running on my car right now and I am looking to get 2 alpine type r 10" subs and a 1000 watt alpine amp and I am wondering will my car handle that with out burning out my alternator or causeing me trouble. I have a 2003 honda civic lx and I am looking to do the big 3 upgrade soon and im almost positive it has an 80amp alternator. Thanks for the help

alternators do go out even if you dont have sub, the subs just help speed up the process. when i had a 1000wrms system i upgraded my stock battery but my alt is a 105amp

my battery is a bout to go i feel becuase my car has 130k on it and its the battery that came on it lol im just geting ever cents worth out of it if i do upgrade my battery what kind do you reccomend and will that ease stress on my car?

I would put the biggest bat that you can fit in. As for can your car handling it, there will be a good deal of stress on your alt but i would think that it would hold up. If your are already running a 1k amp switching to another 1k amp isnt going to change much.
