Will my amp handle this after independence rise?

If you take three dual 4ohm subs and wire 2 of the coils on one and 1 coil on another to get a 1.33 ohm load and then take the second coil from that sub and wire to the coils of the third sub for another 1.33 ohm load, will that load rise up to around 1.5 for each load? Would my JL be able to handle that load? I know they don't like .5-1.0 ohms since they aren't built for them and i've read where people have tried. I'd be using 2 separate amps, i hope this didn't confuse anyone. Thanks, Drew

you should not do this. One subwoofer will recieve aprox twice as much power as the other one.

check this, you jl amp is gonna make same power from 1-4 ohms right. so wire them up to 4 ohms http://mobile.jlaudio.com/graphics/Support/Tutorials/wiring_images/DVC_Series_2.gif

I just realized i completely forgot the second part of what i was saying. i'll edit it. and the jl is stable from 1.5-4 ohms

I know you can wire them up this way and be ok if your amps can handle the load. Are you saying the JL's wont handle it?

I would wire coil one of all 3 subs to one amp and coil two of all 3 subs to the other. Better distribution of power.

I didn't think of it that way. Does sound better and easier to explain lol.

It might. Hard to say.

Well from a few different posts i've found they can handle the 1.33 ohm load, but go into protect after awhile on a 1 ohm load.
