Will it be enough?!?!?!?

I have finally come to the realization that sealed, downfire enclosure will be on the menu for my 2004 F150 SCREW. I found a box that has approx. .68 airspace per chamber for a set of 12's. Will that space be adequate enough to sound good of decent? Or can I add some fill in,along with shallow mount subs to make up for lack of space(if needed). Come one come all ........//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I wouldn't go that route. I did two 12's (Kappa Perfects) in an enclosure that was stuffed with polyfill, and I mean stuffed, and it just wasn't up to its potential. You are better off with (2) 10's in that space. That is optimal space for almost every 10'' out there.

I would agree with everyone else here and go with 2 10's. I have same truck but supercab, I had 2 jl w3v2 10's in there and it sounded pretty good, but I just wanted more.

You do have other options like lifting your seat up a few inches (2-3) and building a box under there, or have 1 built for you. Im looking at 1.1 cubic ft per sub now for my upcoming build.

Alot depends on the type of sound you want though. If you just want soft easy bass, then pretty much any 10 would supply that (tone down gain setting though if you just want something soft) Now if your wanting your 2 10's to just pound and piss off old people then you will be more hard pressed to find that. Some companies would throw 8's though in our space under the truck to provide bass that pisses people off. port an 8 and it can get surprisingly loud. (reference is a dd 1508)

I thought it would be easier to port an enclosure with 8 b/c of the small space to work to work with.I want a decent boom sound from inside, but come on who doesn't want to piss the elders off every once in a while!!I figure with 300-400 watts, the right box and sub, this will be more than attainable.I'll start doing my homework on the net. Thanks guys
