if the equipment is int he trunk you will most likely be in a stock or street class. depending on the organization.

number of batteries and capacitors will determine stock or advanced stock in usaci if you are in the cargo area below the window line.

go above the window line and you go into superstreet in dbdrag and mod in usaci.

in drag you may be able to go into superstreet no wall if you are infront of the trunk and below the window lines and behind the b pillar.

so many things to look at.

and yes ported is louder than sealed.

you have to design it properly though. and not just throw ports in a sealed box.

yeah my box is under the window line for sure >> i have just got some deadining matieral and im going to do the whole trunk and remove my spare tires and all the rest of the junk in it >>> holy crap i found a battery in my wellls BMW you are crazy !!! yeah my port going to be 24 inch x 18.25 deep thats huge >>

can someone help me with my next question : on the spec sheet its giving me a certain cubic feet for ported , what if i use less than it is stated ???

If you make the enclosure smaller than recommended you'll have to use a program like Win ISD to recalculate your port size, otherwise you're going to change the tuning frequency. You are also going to want to get an estimate as to where your car's resonant frequency is so you can tune your box close to that.

In my opinion caps are better off left out of the system and it's a good idea to invest that money toward a high-output alternator. You can add all the gadgets and gizmos you want to your electrical system, but if your alternator can't run them all, there is no point.

i was thinking is there a certain way i can face the subs ?? i think if i put 3 15s in a row i might not have enough room in the back to go across>> how about if i shot them up at the roof and made them triangle shape instead

ok i figured this out now !!! what im going to do is use a kicker kx1200.1 to power my 3x 15's at 1200rms watts ...

the question now i have is what if i strap 2 of the kx together and run my subs ??? - will they blow - even if i leave the gains down ??
