Will I tell a difference?

I have a AB 4480.1 hooked up in my 2013 Fusion that has touch with nav. My only complaint was the bass tends to fall off at anything over half on the volume. I bought a Lc2i which seemed to solve that. Btw the reverse camera vibrates so bad. If you figure out how to make it stop let me know.

How does the bass sound? everything clear?

You will definitely tell a difference in sound quality.

I switched out my dad's 2008 Mustang Bullitt HU and it sounds loads better due to higher voltage output and equalization.

My mom has a 2013 Ford Taurus SHO with the sony sound system and it can definitely improve.

If this is your first car with MyFordTouch, you're going to grow to hate it.

What if i get the LC2i? will that make everything sound like a aftermarket head unit

It actually is clear. I'm sure if you bought a aftermarket headunit it would sound better but I was actually impressed. I am currently waiting on my frontstage to come in. Factory tweets are to harsh for me. Thing with these cars is EVERYTHING runs through the touchscreen so you don't have much choice imo. Buy a good Loc. Go to audiocontrols website they have several diff options that will improve a factory setup

Make sure you disconnect the active noise cancellation mic's. I had those in my CMax when I first got it and it made a pretty horrible tone at a certain rpm range

i would keep your stock headunit and run the signal thru a nice eq a crossover or a line driver currently i have no hu my phone goes in to a level control knob out to a line driver to the amps and it sounds great and when the thives look in my car they see a empty din slot and assume i have nothing

If you want to retain your stock HU and be able to build a QUALITY system around it, you are going to need more than just a LOC... I would reccomend looking into a JBL MS-8, and if that's too pricey for your taste, JL Audio makes the CleanSweep oem integration processor... Bottom line: You get what you pay for, and if you must keep stock HU you are going to spend a whole lot more than replacing that HU with a nice aftermarket one to obtain the same or similar results when it's all said & done...
