well i just bought an 03 jeep wj and its got a stock 136 amp alt. would i be alright not to upgrade alts with a dc 2.0k and just have a upgraded bat under the hood and a big bat in the back?

Should be fine, I'm running an AQ2200 with the big 3, stock 90a alt and an upgraded 50AH batt up front with minimal drop while driving. If I idle though I will drop down to 12.

I am well aware my friend...I have the cash to buy one of those ~100ah batts that are in the classifieds right now but with me being unemployed i want to keep some cash aside for gas money and the like. IMO i think you'll do alright but if u wanna play it safe add a batt to the back

Well 2000watts/12volts would be 166.6 amps your 30 something amps off with a upgraded battery and big 3 u should be ok but lIke i said if u wanna play it safe upgrade to a batt in the back.
