Will a re se12 get louder than a cvx 10 or a re se10 in a single cab

Ok i have the cvx 10, the re se10, and the re se12. I have taken the console out the center and tried the port to the back of cab in just a probox. I have heard the cvx and re 10 and they were about the same. My friend wants to trade me my cvx 10 for his re se12 and i figured id try a 12 out. There all 600 rms and i have a db drive a31000.1d amp which seems to be pushing the 10's good. Do you think the 12 will get louder?

In the right airspace a 12 will get louder then a equal 10

Its difficult to say which would be louder, as haze said ALL ELSE EQUAL a 12 would theoretically have more cone area and thus have a greater ability to produce sound. ASSESSING Equality in drivers, even of the same manufacturer & product line is difficult to determine. Companies at times produce different motor structures for the exact same product line in order to facilitate variances in driver size.

WITH THAT BEING SAID, the variables that you listed are too great to claim with any real certainty which could potentially produce the greatest SPL.

PLEASE don't for one second think that a 12 is inherently louder due solely to the fact that is has a larger cone area, MANY factors play a role in creating greater SPL, cone area is ONLY one of them.

Ok i went ahead and traded and got the 12. Its different, it seems u can feel the 10 more and it pierces and hurts ur ears more. But the 12 seems deeper and louder lol i dont know 2 different sounds
