Wierd noise???

I had to take my box out of my truck today so we could fit more people in it, so I took the box out but left the speaker wire coming from the amp and when I went down to unhook it I accidently let it touch where I had the amp grounded to and now it makes a sort of whining noise coming from the subs and gets louder as the rpms go up. ground loop if you wanna be optomistic.. or it could be a problem with the amp now, especially if you touched the positive speaker wire to the ground...

was the amp powered when this happened?

any sparks?

\have you instepcted the wiring after you found the problem?

The amp was on and yea there was a big spark. I looked at all the wires and they're all ok, No fuses were blowed, everything is wired right like the way I had it before this happened. Im starting to think that i mightve burnt sumthing up in my amp, It still works but not as loud:verymad:

why didnt you disconnect the wires from the amp.... or at least pulled the fuse on the power cable... then you dont have to worry about any power at all.
