wierd noise

My g/f has a 04 saturn ion with the stock cd player. It is making a funny noise when the radio is on its a very high pitched squeak and is very annoying. It also doesn't want to accept cds sometimes, it will spit them out. Does anyone have any ideas to either one of these problems. I don't know much about HU malfunctions much less stock ones so any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.
