Have connected amp, correctly grounded and conected to battery, still need to connect the remote cable, do i use the power antena or do i use the remote cable, have researched and it says to connect to the power antenna, is this correct?

) Connect the power antenna lead from the back of the radio to the amplifier remote turn-on (REM) input. When the radio is switched on, 12 volts should appear on the lead, and start the amplifier when it is connected to the main power leads

This is what i found on the net?

Please advise

thx

Use the remote or else the amplifier may only turn on when your source is the radio because thats when your antenna would power up normally.

the only time your amp would come on is if you were listening to the radio because if you are not listening to the radio there is no need for your antenna to be up so that wire sees no power while playing cd's ect...

Ok i understand but when i connect it to the remote cable the amp has no power,

so in that case is my remote cable from the head unit faulty

2nd must the RCA's be conected to show power on the amp

thx
