Why's this amp so cheap?

Kenwood KAC-8402 brand new only running me $140.00. Most amps that run only 50 rms x 4 @ 4 are like 250-300 from Kicker etc yet this one is 70 x 4 @ 4, is it simply the brand name? Froogle that shit.

thats not "cheap"... you can get an alpine 50x4 for around that... when you buy kicker you are getting better shit, but you are paying for the name

The kenwood amps i've owned were great quality.

I personally hate spade connectors, tho

set screw terminals are a must for consistant connections at the amp, imo

i believe the kenwood AND alpine amps in the pricerange both use spades.

I run an excelon mono amp, it puts out the power, and hasn't failed me

u should try an X-File amp.... cheap and still a badass amp..... durable as F*** too
