whys my re se bottoming out

what about the box?? is it good and sealed? if it has ANY air leaks in the seams it's gonna ruin the damping of the box and let the woofer flutter and bottom out much easier than normal considering the extra power....
did u build the box or someone else???

box is built like a brick no leaks what soever

The RE SE series are only rated @ 600 RMS...not 800.
yeah but as long as a person uses their head you can over power a speaker without problems with correctly set gains.... having the extra power means you can drive the sub to it's full potential and never have to worry about clipping the amp....

or at least that's how ur supposed to do it...

you not having a Subsonixfilter isnt the problem.SSF are to help control port noise.

1-where do you have your sub xovered @???

2-does your amp have a slope/db-12-18-or24.

I have my sub xover at 60hz@24
A subsonic filter's purpose is not to control port noise. It is to control driver excursion in the region beneath tuning where there is no longer any support from the vent/enclosure. If you have port noise, your vent is too small.
