Just because Unique Autosports use it doent make it better, it just means that some rapper or football player will pay full retail and $800 for a 12" speaker.

I'm talking about mainstream people...

Ask them to choose between a Lambo or a decked out civic, we both know what they would pick...

Now ask those same mainstream people what they would choose from JL and say RE, DD, FI,etc, and I think we both know what they would pick....

It's not that they don't make good products, because we all know they do. And for half the price of JL makes them that much better. They just aren't that well known to mainstream as JL is.

why do people hate on jl audio. sounds like everyone is jealous. dont say they are expensive just because you can pick up a kicker that sounds like *** for half the money.

...why would you even open your mouth and use kicker as an example? , no shit you cant compare it because kicker has horrible SQ, but any other quality brands, like RD, Re, DD, Soundstream, Memphis, and Fi that can easily outperform JL as well as being cheaper.

Yes the pricing is high, but think about it logically. With companies like FI, AQ, Incriminator Audio, etc. you're purchasing directly from the manufacturer. With JL it has to go through distributors and dealers, which each have to get their cut.

Buying used, the price different isn't that great. Used W7's go for around the same price as used XXX's and brahmas.

I'm not a huge fan of JL, but I think some take the bandwagon bashing too far off over logical thinking.

you can buy from JL directly, full retail. An authorized JL dealer will charge full retail or close to it. Buy on the internet and you get NO warranty and basically have to buy a new sub if it blows, same as used, recone is almost price of new, if they will even help you out at all.
