Uh, did pioneerpimp's account get hacked?

Other than that, I prefer the Alpine Type R 6.5 to the Woofer's etc. CDT's on sale right now. Mainly because the Type Yarrrrrrr sounds cleaner and actually FITS in my Civic's factory locations. Sadly, the CDT 6.5 was just a tad bit better than the Alpine Type S speakers that I had in my Civic.

As for the Pioneers, I don't know why they are highly recommended. The last time I had Pioneer components was in 1999/2000 in my F150. Back then I liked the Pioneers because the mid-bass response out of the sounded awesome!

I had some unexpected bills come in..............well my wifes bills, but need to help out and will be most likely putting up my whole system for sale soon. Just got it back in 2 months ago.

Let me know, or if you want hit them up new. Just trying to help out. They really do sound good! The mids are the best part about them. The tweet is nice, but can be mellow sometimes. I just think I like harsher tweets.

Why are you making such a big deal about a set of speakers? Just because they are pioneer brand and have a good price you think they are automatically junk? I suggest checking out the search button because you have been here long enough to know how to use it. There are plenty of positive reviews dealing with those specific pioneer speakers along with the rest of their line of speakers.

Besides aren't you selling your cdt comps in the classifieds as bnib? If they are brand new how can you even compare them to anything else if you haven't even heard them?

well i had a customer with a j30 infiniti that had type S components( took out the factory bose and used formed ABS adapters for 6 1/2"s) and the right side stopped working and he wasnt on a big budgets. So he went with the pioneer components and to my suprise and his they did actually sound better and smoother and more natural then the Alpines hands down. So am i a pioneer speaker fan no but i love there headunits but did those components sound awsome...YES THEY DID!!!!

i just don't get how a pair of 60 rms speakers can sound better than a pair of 100 rms speakers. (CDT vs. Pioneer in this case). Is there something i am missing here?
