Why Sundown?

guys are selling and trading up, usually to bigger or newer sundowns. I have seen lots of guys selling nines to get sundowns, but have yet to see anyone that sold a sundown to get a nine or any other ed amp for that matter.

That, and the sundowns are in fairly high demand. When I had my 1500 up for sale, I think I had it sold within 2 days. And got a fairly decent price out of it. Could I of got more, hell yea, but I needed the money. I'll back everyone else up on the CS service and product as well.

I've only owned a 1500 and loved that thing when I used for the 2 months I did. Underrated power houses, they are.

Jacobs integrity, when it comes to CS, is bar none one the the best you'll find around. One thing that will tell this to me instantly with any business is when they treat you like a king, even when your not spending a shit load of $$$.

What other company would take other amps on trade at 75% of their value (look up the trade in policy at the sundown forum on ssa). It has me seriously thinking of trading in my SX1250.1 but I'm not sure I want to break up my SX's.

There's tons of reasons why people hate eD, I'll try and name all the ones I can remember.

1) Ben(owner) claiming that eD "engineers" or "comes up with designs" for all of their products. The only thing of theirs that is an eD original is the AV.2...everything else is rebadged equipment IIRC.

2) The eDead fiasco. Ben sold a bunch of eDead V1 on ebay, and stated that it was butyl based, when it was asphalt based(inferior to butyl).

3) The Ural preorder. IIRC he took a bunch of preorders for the highly acclaimed Ural HU that never ended up happening. I've heard of a few people that never got their money back.

4) The general Nazi style moderertion of their forum. Anything that even remotely questions eD, and you get banned. It's an easy way to keep the die-hard eD sheep from seeing the truth behind the company/products.

5) Blatantly stealing designs from other companies and claiming it as their own. This is most commonly known by two cases, the Tangband 10" slim sub, and the JL W7 basket. JL even stepped in and threatened to file a lawsuit for patent enfringement on the basket...Ben brainwashed his sheep into thinking it was more "hate" being put on eD.

I have seen many people perfectly happy with their ED equipment. They just get a bad rep due to them not owning up to some stuff, which really is understandable.

I have a friend that has a 9.1 and he loves the shit out of it and had it for a couple years now with no problems and his shit knocks!

Honestly have yet to hear a Sundown product, but they are popular for sure.

Personally if you can deal with the CS of ED, then I don't think you can lose with either company.

I don't know if I'd call Sundown amps "supreme", but they're definitely a solid choice. The bigger amps don't interest me, but even the small ones are very tolerant of abuse.

on sundowns site it says the saz's are rated at 14.4.. sae is 12.8

Must be a typo. The SAZ amps are rated @ 12.8v and the SAE are rated @ 14.4v. All are under-rated so you will always get more than what you pay for.

dont forget to mention- with the tb slim sub fiasco- ben claimed he designed it on a napkin, over lunch, and someone from tb snuck in and stole the design.

Get some Avionixx amps then, that's all that eD amps are...rebadged Avionixx.
