yep but still lucky they didn't take the gun. They could have went and murdered someone and this guy would be suspect #1. No alibi, his gun at crime scene means prison time for him. He has no idea how lucky he actually is.

This is why you always always (always) report a gun stolen if it gets jacked. You'd have to be one unlucky sob to actually get convicted of a murder you didnt commit, by a gun stolen from you. But still, you dont ever want to go through that hassle.

factory security system don't do jack except give you false security.....they are just pure cheap crap that the factory puts on your vehicle to jack the price up making you pay way more than you could get a good quality security system that really works and giving the person trying to put you a real security system in a bunch of fricken headaches figuring out how to bypass the factory pos.....

I had ran in my grandmothers house I was only there for maybe an hour at the most, the Hu was tethered, with the steel cable stuff from lowes, they had to destroy my dash to get it out which they did.. I only have the stock alarm and I always make sure my doors where locked, none of the windows where busted. The cops said that the keypad on the outside of 02-05 explorers are easy to get into :/

A security system is a moot point when they didn't really break into the truck bro. They used the keypad like a legitimate owner would do.

pin switch in door on aftermarket alarm would've prevented that...as soon as code was entered and door was opened...alarm would've went off and theives would've ran like cockroaches when you flip a light switch....instead of taking their time destroying the dash to pry a radio out

Which would be a stupid *** feature to install because it would render your keypad useless even for yourself.

it would work after you disarm your alarm and who wants a feature on their door that lets anyone in their vehicles...why even bother locking your door

Disarming the alarm should unlock the door unless you bought some janky ass Walmart alarm. That would also render the keypad pointless. Which also renders your solution pointless. Apparently people that bought one of the best selling SUVs of all time between 2002-2005 wanted the keypad feature. You'd have to ask them why they wanted it. Locking your door, regardless of what kind of car it is, is only intended to keep honest people honest. You could have a piece of shit convertable mustang, and an armed guard next to it and the best criminal is still going to get your shit.

i had a keypad on my 99 explorer and no one ever got through it...but i had an aftermarket security system as well....so i guess thats what stopped them...
