why is this soo expensive????

Can't base efficiency off sensitivity alone...
O RELIENTE?

Q: What does a speaker's sensitivity rating tell me, and why is it important?
A: A speaker's sensitivity rating (sometimes called efficiency) tells you how effectively the speaker converts power into sound. The higher the number, the more efficient the speaker, and the louder the sound it creates with a given input signal.

An efficient speaker helps you maximize your available wattage. Believe it or not, a 3 dB increase in speaker sensitivity produces the same audible increase in volume as doubling your amplifier power. So when you're shopping for speakers, it always pays to check the sensitivity spec — especially if you have a lower-powered receiver or amp.

It's a common myth that larger speakers require tons of power and smaller speakers can get by with minimal wattage. In fact, the reverse may be true — some of the smallest speakers we sell are actually pretty power hungry, while larger speakers can be quite efficient.

I would've refuted it with out sources... but then you'd probably try to contradict me of all sorts so I decided to stop you from the beginning.

morel has lower cost speakers not everything is soo expencive. they are probley hand made in a non 3rd world country.

Thats a good idea. Just make it a really high price and hope someone stupid will buy it. Its like fishing for retards and making allot of money while doing it.

On this topic and for the speakers, they sound amazing or at least the Supremo mids that i have heard in the past sound amazing. Morel always has and always will be expensive, same as Brax, Helix, Genesis, Rainbow and the likes of the "elite" brands.

Hi there,

i'm very familiar with this product as the shop i hang ard pushes a lot of Morel products

Firstly, this is not ur " sub subs", not ur " boom boom" kinda setup,

most of the time, this 6" is used in a 2 way component setup along side the supremo or picollo tweeters from Morel.

In a 2 way system, they sound beautiful!

the SW6 goes pretty low for a 6", giving u a nice clean mid bass punch and it has a very rich mid range.

Its an excellent driver for you SQ folks.

One setup i had a chance to play with had the 9" version in the doors,

5" verions on the A pillars together with the picollo tweeters.

All these were ran actively off alpine's #F1 deck.

For the serious SQ folks out there, they'll know all about this little dude.

its the same as SQ folks asking why would you put 20kws of power with 32 woofers in your car?

hope this helps

cheers
