Why is the IXL being price reduced ??

I have settled a family arguement about ported vs. sealed using the knowledge you guys gave me through the years //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. My pair of Orion P series 10" subwoofers hit 130+ (wal-mart db meter) at the dash of my van with the subs 13ft away making my windshield wipers bounce. I shut out 4 visonik 10's to end a 2 1/2 year audio arguement about ported sux compared to sealed when my IB setup with those 10's astonished my shit talking cousin's and shut them up. Now the new arguement is to be settled, they argue to their blue in the face saying that 10's hit the low's better than 15's or 18's ((mind you they have not researched anything you guys provide that I have learned from you all)) , and so now I am going to use these cheap 18's to hit harder than my previous setup, and also to show 18's not only hit the low's better , but are louder , and can sound just as clear but more than anything they dont beleive a pair of 18's will have the punchy bass a 10 does. So any input on my quest here to prove them wrong would be nice.

That's not true, but if you already know that and your just wanting me to mess with them then thanks for the advice LOL im trying to teach them not mis-lead them anymore than they already are from what they think.

I wont even begin to go into electromotive inductance with them lol.

Btw to give you an idea of the shit they do because of the way they think might give you a little giggle. 3 days ago at a family party I sold my pair of Orion's to my cousin whom trust all that I say, well the other cousin who argue's his audio philosiphies with me was out there jackin around with my other cousin's system setup. He told my cousin to use the cheap 20$ boss crossover inline before the sony amplifier which already had it's own crossover on top of all that his in dash sterio had it's own crossover and multi band EQ (pioneer deh 7800 i beleive) and was bass boosting from the cross over onto using the bass boost on the amplifier as well with setting the frequency bands of each device that did not match. Which I beleive results it a cutoff from one to another which there is no point and it problably hurt's the systems output. OHHHHHhhh not to mention in the prefab box with the port in the center tuned I beleive to 50hz .. they modified the box with one 10" orion P series on one side, and on the other is a crossfire 12" subwoofer both different power handling capabilities, and their convinced with the 10 in there it's going to hit those "punchy notes" and the 12 to really hit the lows with the end result the system hitting everything loud and nice. LOL LOL LOL any comments on that would be greatly appreciated LOL so I can link this to them in an email.

I am wanting to go to an 18" subwoofer for my van but dont want to pay out the rear end for one, and I have been considering for a long while either two Maw 18's or best yet the IXL 15.2.2 as a single driver setup in my vehicle. The price cut made me skeptic so anyone please advise.
Also any posted numbers on these Maw drivers ??? Especially the 18's ??? I will be searching the forum, so dont tell me to search LOL I have 15 mins left here at the library.
