why is my vb so high?

the factory recomends 1 cubic foot per sub but when i calculate my internal volume for two drivers it gives me 5.452 cubic feet. and i need this to determine vent length. so what the hell?

k well on my specs for my subs that the manufacturerer provided it recomends 1 cubic foot per sub. so thats 2 cubic feet not incluning the volume taken up by vents and sub woofer displacement right. well on carstereo's sight to determine your Vb or in other words the ammount of volume neede for your enclosure. wich should be the same thing that the manufacturer provided. Well when i fill out the blanks of the calculator it gives me an answer of a Vb of 5.452 cubic ft

recomended sealed box volume=0.7 to 1.0 ft cubed( go with 1 ft cubed)
