Ok im pretty good at trouble shooting stuff but i want some opinions on this....OK i bought a set of RSD components about 2 months ago...when i installed them i noticed that the tweeters were DOA...i installed the mids on a memphis mc-16-2004 rated at 150x2 bridged..a few weeks later i bought a set of tweeters that had there own built in crossover...so i installed the tweeter and hooked them up to the rsd crossover..(the tweeter crossover was built in so it was utilized as well) It sounded good for a few weeks now and i thought everything was ok...i started notcied about a week ago that when i would play the radio loud that the Highs amp would cut off...it was intermittent tho..so i didnt pay too much attention to it..yesterday i was drving home and i coulnt turn my radio up more than 1/4 way up and it would cut out...i pulled over to check the wiring on the ampo and everything was ok.. well this morning i disconnected the rsd crossover and hooked up the mids and tweetes directly to the amp on hpf..so basically the mid has no crossover but the tweet has its own..it seems to sound beter and hasnt cut out since..is it possible to blow a crossover? what do you guys think and is it ok to run the mid with no crossover?

well i figured out what happened...after a few mi nutes of removin the crossover the problem continued..i troubleshooted back to the drivers side mid...when disconnected the amp functioned perfect..i took the door panel off hopin t ofind a short or loose wiring but i didnt..everything looked fine..i took my stock door speaker to test the wiring and it performed fine..so the speake ris shot..when hooked up it would play only like to 1/4 volume then cut the entire amp out..it must be shortin out with power...when i would push on the cone with it hooked up the speaker would get louder..it was wierd..anyways i went to best buy to get a temp mid untill i can get a new comp set...i found rf coaxels on sale for 25 bucks from 120...so they will be ok for a week or so..
