i have my sub wired to 1ohm it reads 1.3 with resistance at the sub then on the back of the box where the terminals are it reads also 1.3 but then when i connect my speaker wire and connect to the amp and test the ohms at the amp i get a 7.8-7.9ohm reading why is that

maybe bad wiring...or connection at the box

It's because whenever you measure the resistance of your subs when they are connected to the amplifier, you're actually measuring the equivalent resistance of the amplifier circuit and the subwoofers.

what is that
Separates DC from AC.

AC current sees a capacitor as a short (Piece of wire)

DC current sees a capacitor as an open.

When reading resistance with an ohm meter, you are reading the DC resistance of the circuit; however with a coupling capacitor on the output, it should read open.

My Lanzar reads open on the outputs as well.
