*note to self, do not use flash drives for incriminating evidence.*Anything that stores/produces media by use of a magnetic field (hard drives, floppy disks, TV's, etc.) has the risk of being "re-written" or wiped when near a strong enough magnet. Which is why Ram, Flash drives and CD's are a great alternative.. Not even a laboratory degausser could wipe these out. It would take a magnet strong enough to **** the iron out of your body to ruin such storage devices.

I think it's because there is a magnetic switch that turns off the main lcd when I close the lid on my phone, and when there is a magnet close to my phone it turns off the main lcd.
