why does my dd 1510 sound like chit

I know you said you have the SSF set at 40, but are you still bottoming the sub out?

yeah sounds like its blown, maybe its wired wrong? take out the sub and inspect it carefully. check all your wiring and if possible try another sub on the same amp

burnt vc's its new! i havent clipped it i watch the red light n make sure it doesnt clip. i took the sub out of the box and it looks fine. theres no way 3 hours max this thing is fuked up. it sounded like this as soon as i played it .

i've seen someone fry a brand new sub in less than 5 minutes...so 3 hours is plenty especially if the suspension...is new and the sub is not broke in...

I have a 1508 T feeding it 800 daily ...it sounds awesome...It sounds like a couple of tens on the lows...I have it in 1 cu ft...plus port tuned at 40hz....I did break in the sub by free airing a sine wave in it for 24 hours before using it so I wouldn't fuk it up.....I've never tried the 10" version...maybe there is a difference...
