half the people that say they **** only say that b/c they hear a true SQ or long term audio guru say that. they ARENT expensive, they DONT sound like total shit, they arent ALL bling bling.

jesus soem of you guys are ****ing retarded. i ran an 1800 watt amp at 1ohm and it slammed the fack out of my 4 12s and it never even got warm, its like it never even turned on. the looks .... i could do w/o but whoever thinks that being blingy is something to jump on as a bad quality get a life. the subs .... maybe they are over rated for power. instead of saying THESE SUBS SOUND LIKE SHIT .... one could say ... these are loud mofos and it turns it completely around

if ED came out with an SPL onyl sub .... do u think people would be like ... man this sub sounds like shit, dont buy anyhting from ED .... no. i myself am fixing to get 3 alumQ 15s with a planet audio 2250 watt amp *13v* and even if they dont handle 1100wrms the susb will sound just fine, they also wont have to be overpowered. not to mention the VC choice is perfect for my situation. these subs arent all bling bling, i like the subtle aluminum cone.

i think people that HATE audiobahn are retards. visonik amps arent be any better, but people say ... *they do what they are rated and good for the price* people are afraid to not be socially modest against a brand that others may approve of, this board is easier to make friends by being gullable than knowing about car audio sometimes. audiobahn amps do more than that!!! i dont flame either company but cmon people, give me a break

I see the Bahn rift has strong feelings on both sides of the issue. I dont hate abahn, but I certainly don't like them either. Does that make me a retard or a moderate?

So no, Audiobahn haters aren't retards, they are better informed and know what good equipment should be.

There is a difference between doing it tastefully (Tru) and doing it gaudy as hell (Audiobahn).

IMO, TRU isnt even tasteful. Those blue/purple LEDs are just plain ugly if you ask me. I could see that same amp design on a $150 "3000WATT MAX POWER" amp. When you take into account the quality of the equipment, it becomes a bit better looking just because you know its a good amp, but looks alone they arent much better than A-bahn IMO. Tasteful is mcintosh, or eclipse, or the new ED amps, or zapco...

Audiobahns blow. even me new to car audio think so. i was playing with them in a store. out of all the subs....they sounded the worst! at high volume they sounded horrible while some cheap subs sounded better. sad sad. im inpresed with my kenwoods. they have Awsome sound quality for the price i got them at.

lol..nice burn.. all i have to say..

a watt is a watt. as long as an amplifier does what it is supposed to do, AMPLIFY. then what are people fighting about? lower quality parts? define low quality parts. poor build quality? define poor build quality? too much bling bling? well thats personal opinion, so is almost all the stuff i hear about audiobahn. there is nothing wrong with any brand of anything as long as it does its job and fits your needs. we all know audiobahn has one of the strongest ad campaigns ever. Does that make them ****? NO. Why doesnt TRU or Zapco or Brax or McIntosh advertise like that, dont you think they would sell even more overpriced amps? There is no reason to blame them for being smart. In 7 short years they have totally conquered the industry and I personally give credit to them for doing so well. Bottom line is, Audiobahn is just another company, they KNOW how to move products, whether you or anyone else thinks they **** and people who even waste their time trying to get the syllables out of their mouth just to say that they ****, or that any other particular company sucks based on nothing but opinion is utterly foolish in all aspects. they are businesspeople over at la brea, CA and they know what they are doing. its all about the money people...you just dont get it.

Quality products without advertising > A multi-million $ advertising budget that promotes products without quality.

Just my opinion based on some previous experience.

If you're happy with it, then you're happy with it. I don't care. No one else cares. It's your opinion. If you're happy with it, then that's all that matters. If you like your car painted pink and you like it, good for you, don't let anyone else tell you any different.

A buddy of mine had 2 Audiobahn amps, they both broke. Another buddy of mine had this huge 12" Audiobahn sub, something like 60lbs and it came in a big wood crate. It sounded like crap and wasn't very loud at all compared to my Eclipse Titanium. I know most of it is in the install, but both of our subs were in smaller sealed boxes at the time, there isn't too much he could do wrong.

I really hate the design of Audiobahn products. The AlumQ subs do look really good, but they look almost just like Eclipse Aluminums, except worse.

From the limited experience I've had with Audiobahn, I know I will never purchase or recommend them.

i do have to admit, i've seen one very nice install with (3) alumq's. ported to 38 with a lot of 'glass and 1300 wrms in silver impala ('96 i think.. ..mmm LT1). Fit very nicely in that car.

Performance... it hit 140's but sounded pretty boomy/inaccurate.

musta been thee setup, i saw 4 500w 15s in an s10 bed just sitting in the bed with a snug top sealed to the bed with ~1.5 cubes each rattling stuff out of the cup holder. they pushed a TON of air
