I'm having a problem with my setup.
I have 2 RE HC 15's and a Memphis Mojo 2000.
Each HC 15 is in it's own chamber and the VC's are wired in parallel to 1 ohm. I then have 1 speaker wire running out of each chamber, so a 1 ohm load per speaker wire.
Since the mojo is designed for 2 ohms, I then run that in series, so I connect one Pos to the other Neg, and then have the other Pos to the amp and the other Neg to the amp.
When this happens, I can see the woofers moving, but there doesn't seem to be good SQ at all and I can bairly hear them at all.
I tried each woofer, alone, and each one sounds great. But together they sound crappy.
I am guessing there is some sort of cancellation or something? I am 99.9% sure I wired the subs correctly though...............
If I don't have to, I don't want to take the subs out of the boxes, because MDF doesn't really tend to like speakers goign in and out.
Any ideas??
Maybe I can just run the on sub as if the Pos is really the neg and vice versa? If the sub is in phase, and I run it like it's out of phase, will I break something?
Thanks a lot everyone,
Craig G
