why do you like roof flex?

You can increase the rigidity of sheet metal, yes even a roof, several ways. IMO a spray-on deadener will tend to add rigidity more than a rolled on mat will. If you dont like that idea, I have a recipe for sticky concrete I know will. Lastly, Im toying with the idea of rather than mass loading the roof of my blazer with a spray concrete or even mat, I might layer it with fiberglass to stiffen it instead to keep that weight off the roof.
so wuts the recipe and i like the idea of fiberglass! so like a false roof?

and i do have flex its really weird! my back window side panels and front window... not my roof? dont get it? could it be because im down firing?

because roof flex or any kind of flex means a good sign that you are loud...and if your flexing MAJOR means you beat down the block and you are LOUD AS HELL...haha..
No... it's a good sign that the pressure in the cab is bending the cheap sheet metal on your roof.

Roofs aren't really reinforced since the likeliness of something falling on your roof is low...

People are just like, "ZOMG, LOOK WHAT MY SUBZ ARE DOING!"

But flexing is a problem IMO. I'm never glad if I see something flexing. I always think, "Bust out the deadener..."

my reason is i like my vision jumping, stuggling for breath, and needing hearing protection while i drive //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
Oh absolutely...I do too, I meant for that idiot who wanted to listen to music while he washes his car:rolleyes:

well pretty much all those things could be solved by leaving the girlfriend at home. Problem solved then you can go back to ball shaking bass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I actually made a support for the roof of my Jeep today to prevent this roof flex "issue" as I should say lol . Although it is fun to watch the roof take a beating . Ive noticed the low end(35hz and below) improves substantially when keeping constant upwards pressure on the roof . Its basically a lil stripper pole that fits in pretty well with the inside of the truck .
You should pull your headliner out and brace with wood, the proper way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

roof flex doesn't mean you're loud. It means your roof is flimsy and that you're wasting a whole lot of energy.
well for some people flexing your roofs means WOW im loud...i was just saying thoug...

true on this^^^^^

think something like that would hold up in my case?
I think if you applied enough layers of fiberglass to your roof, it could be almost as rigid as your enclosure walls. I doubt that would be necessary though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
