Why do some High Powered amps come with inadequate Power Terminals

Some will say because they dont do rated power but for example a sound stream Dtr1.2200 does do rated power or **** near close to it but only comes with 4 gauge terminals and the Dtr1.3400 does 3400 at .5 ohm and also only comes with 4 gauge terminals also. Not to pick on these particular amps but a number of them do it. Isnt this a recipe for disaster running an enormous amount of power through insufficient wiring causing unnecessary heat and just isnt healthy for the entire electrical system. Amps that come with the same power levels for example the aq2200 comes with 0 gauge terminals and they say 4 gauge can be used but its not recommend. Now thats 2 different amps with just about the same output but one company recommends against using what the other comes standard with. Not to mention this all could be avoided by the company spending a couple extra coin on sufficient terminals which the consumer would be more than happy to pay for. please explain

its hard to fit those big blocks for 1/0 terminals on some boards. heck kicker kx600.1's had 1/0 inputs (loved those amps) yet my planet audio bb2400.1 couldn't fit my 1/0 hyperflex in and they were supposed to be 1/0 ga. inputs. look at stetsom, powerhouses that can only fit like 2ga. in some of their amps. its all about making sure the board doesn't get screwed up, even at the inconvenience of the user

yea and I doubt you will loose that much power or generate that much heat at the terminals because thats the only spot that you have to trim down the wire for....my MB quarts are like this as well...

Yeah but theres a big difference between 0 and 4 gauge. Just like a car has its limitations on what gauge should be used for a power and ground that same standard should be true for amps also. **** if its a size issue shouldnt that be considered when an amp is in the design stages.

THats why they make distro blocks...0 gauge in 4 gauge out so your not running 4 gauge all the from your bat to the amp.... and i have no idea how big a 0 gauge block thing but 4 gauge is pretty **** big looking when its on an amp..
