Why do people put enormous bass in their cars?

So unless I drive a big suv to a show and get a mic thrown in the drives seat and get a reading I do not get it? LMAO right that in itself is so pointless wow I can get a 186 or wow i got 2 more DB's than last time. So stupid.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Either way weather they are or not competing it is pointless.
For those of you that are still like I love the bass and the feel. Hope you willl like the feel of one of these babies one day, much sooner than you may think.

Way less damage to the ears than tons of other hobbies out there that involve really loud high sounds...when I loose my hearing I'll let you know

I keep an enormous bass in my pants.
Lawl, what's it tuned to?

I'm just saying if there is a point in the loudness then it makes sense. There are a lot worse hobbies out there, and worse things to waste money on. If you're winning a trophy, and you enjoy it then why not? If you're just driving around looking at how many people are staring at your piece of shit car that's rattling then you just look like a moron.

^This is it, hanging out with good people and having a good time at comps is a big part of it and just enjoyment.

Bass does not effect the hearing. The low frequency's effect the brain while the higher ones effect the hearing. So while I'm drooling I'll be giving your deaf *** the finger.

That is actually one of the reasons I stopped with the big subs. After a session my ears would ring at night. I knew it couldn't be good for me in the long run, so I toned it down quite a bit. With that said, feeling it every now and then in a friend's car is pretty sweet.

People shit on Kicker's SQ, but I still say on a scale of 1 to 10 they're a solid 6. Won't be keeping up with your jazz albums or showing you the subtleties in classical with a lot of pipe organs and upright basses, but its output is plenty smooth.
The reason I went with the CVX was to get decent SQ but still have the ability to get loud. I like the L7 for how loud it gets, but the square isn't very clean. The CVX has the L7 motor structure with a round woofer so I figured it would be almost as loud as the L7 but a lot cleaner. The only reason I went with Kicker was because I used to work at Circuit City. These were only $120 each. I couldn't pass that up.

You have to remember a lot of people like to compete. usually the people with crazy systems dont do it for daily setups. I do it because i am young and i can still get away with getting loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. Bass knobs were a great invention too you dont always run it at full tilt, its just for one when your friends get a little cocky about theirs you twist the knob and shut em down.
