Why do people like Coldplay so much?

X2 My taste in music expands from the old stiff to the new stuff but I actually like the old stuff better. My friend thinks Linkin Park is so awesome just because they made the music for transformers. Not saying it's bad but shoot I can name 20 people that are better than them. I enjoy coldplay some of there songs have a rely good beats and some ear piercing highs. Give my Billy Joel, Santana, Michel Bubble', Journey, The eagles or any of the others any day.

I'm just saying its a shame that peoples' taste has degenerated to listening to falsetto babbling. Talentless. Crap.
There's new music with some serious talent and soul behind it, yet it goes ignored. Unfortunate.

That's how I feel when people listen to rap and some other music, but it doesn't matter. It's not you so why do you care?

It's a shame to see T.I. and Akon rake in so much when some very talented singers get nowhere. Because Akon and T.I. fit peoples' tastes at this time. It's just how it is.

I like some of Coldplay's stuff but overall not a big fan.

it may beat but god **** when is it enough? we come out of good hip hop like nas, pac, big, krs, busta, twista, pimp c to going to people like soulja boy and sean kingston talking about how gangster they are and sell drugs and come from the hood when its the complete opposite. i remember hip hop being the type of music that you listened to and could feel it because it was based on real life from the heart, no lying ure *** off to look cool.
