Because this place is a seething pot of idiocy.
You can't ask any serious questions without getting some half-assed, barely legible response that doesn't even qualify as English. The fact that the average age is somewhere around high school level doesn't help, but even so, those are some barely competent high schoolers...if I really want to know something, I'll go to a place like DIYAudio or Audioasylum where the level of discussion is vastly better.

I find OT discussion at those places less the rewarding. There is something somewhat thrilling about throwing mud, and institgating that isn't allowed or embraced on the other forums.

DIYAudio has more traffic than this place, it's just the members are scattered throughout the world. So there are cultural barriers.

I am sure some of my out and out racist antics wouldn't be as funny. But you probably don't find them funny now.

Here's an outside voice...I've been on ROE for a couple years now and I joined here a couple months ago because the first thing I saw here was a wicked classifieds section. The differences I've noticed is that ROE seems like....don't take this wrong....but it's really audio oriented. There's not much loungin going on there.

When I first got on here there was a thread about 8's, a couple guys said they sucked when I love em, blah blah blah arguement. Then strokers were brought up and there was a comment about how the voice coils impedance could be changed by twisting the pole peice and I went off. Being new to this forum I didn't understand the amount of sarcasm and joking around that went on here and well, in the end I deservingly got told. After a while here I found out it's a chillin place. There's a lot of people that make me laugh my *** off and it's a lot more fun of an atmosphere. I remember reading on here that "ca.com isn't just a stereo site, it's a site for people that enjoy stereos". That's kinda what ROE is missing, the fact that you can have an audio site and keep it fun without everything being about stereos.

To sum up all the comments I've heard about this place on other sites...."ca.com is full of immature high schoolers that don't know shit"...."if you ask a question on ca.com everyone calls you an idiot and doesn't help you". That's pretty much all I hear about this place but I like it here, could be my new home!!
