Why does bass travel so far and how come u can hear a car 2-3 blocks away from your house? Does it have to do with how much power u have to your subs or does wind, etc. affect the bass traveling far? i'd like thoughts about this, thanks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Bass has longer wavelengths and therefore interferes with the air molecules less...
Lower frequencies require more air to be displaced than higher frequencies for comparable output; part of why you don't see midbasses or tweeters with 30mm of Xmax //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

This behavior holds true in other parts of the EM spectrum.

Think of what a tweeter could do w/ 10 mm Xmax //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
It would have to be able to handle a ton of power, though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
that wouldnt be very pretty. a wall of 500 tweets? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

so it don't matter how much power u give your subs the bass is goin to travel far no matter wut then right?
How much power you give your subs (plus a ton of other factors) = how much bass your subs produce

and...

the bass your subs produce (plus a ton of other factors) = how far the bass will travel

Ive heard 2 theories. (I think one is right I just forgot which one) But the sky is blue because:

1. The blue from the oceans is reflected from the sun to the sky (dont think this one is right)

2. Because of the Nitrogen in the Atmosphere that makes the sky look "blue" when the sun light passes through it.

Cause mass deafness? Or be a mind-control device a la HAARP...everything's fine, the situation is under control...return to your homes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Inverse square law. Radiation will disperse as a function of the power over the square of the distance from the emitter.
