Why did my sub get louder all the sudden?

Hello everyone. When I was on my way back form a concert last night my sub started freaking out. I pulled over and found that my storage bin had slid into the sub. Not hard but just kinda slid over there and rested on it. I moved it looked with a flash light for cracks and the like and it was all good, still sealed and everything. Turned everything back on and turned up the sub slowly and Holy crap it was way louder and punchier //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif I went to the car today and it was the same. Having the sub chanel on my EQ normally at 1/2 listening to music and now only being able to go 1/4 before it gets insanley loud? I am at a loss here as to what happened. I like the new found power but not if somthing is going to the Sh!tter. Got a new P3 with an Alpine MP-500 in a 1.25 cubic foot box.

Now come on I am not that much of a Noob! I know what happens when the window goes down. I live in San Diego and it's down 99% of the time, as well as having a pass thru for the sub. I was driving on some twisty roads quickly and the sub box slid. So I think what actually happened is when the sub box moved to the left 6 inches it became centered below one of the pass thrus, instead of being in the middle of the trunk. I moved it around some to see what diffenance it would make in my car and it actually does make quite a bit. I like it this way and it's now gettting bolted down where it sits. All the wires were solid, wires and connections I never skimp on. I do appreciate the suggestions given. Always somthing to learn!
