Well I've been mostly in the Amp forum and I know I'm using HD52 Comps. The amps I have pretty narrowed down and I thought I had the sub pegged as the JL 8w3v2, but NO! I figured let me browse and search the sub forum...well now I'm afraid of paying too much for a sub after reading the sticky and some posts. I'm looking for a good sq sub for a 2 sealed .3-.5 ft^3 boxes. I haven't bought the amp yet so I'll match the amp to whatever sub. If you guys have any suggestions I'm all ears. I'd like to keep the subs under 150 each. Preferably way under but that's wishful thinking...maybe...I've heard alot of good about JL audio subs but I figured I'd see if there were comparable subs out there for less$$$

2 votes for kickers and i love the price!! but SQ is more important than price. I'm looking for something that when people hear it the say " that sounds (insert posotive adj. here) I know..noob..and it's all a matter of personal preference. I'm willing to pay for it, but I hate paying for a name when I can get another product of the same quality for less. YA KNOW! If the Kickers will do it you may have swayed me.

RE 8's would be nice too... ~60$/ea. shipped from RE. nice SQ and decent SPL

Those eD's and ID's have peaked my interest. The eD's seem to good to be true at $50 a whack? are they really comparable in SQ? If they are I may pickup the package deal with 2 subs and an amp. I'd love the 8W7 but it's too **** big to go under the seats in my truck. 00 Scab F150. Where do I get info on RE's I tried to google it but all I get is "Forum Re:" for every 8" anything in the world.

Hard to say with the eD's....they haven't been released yet. But they are definitely an option to be looked at. Go over to the eD forum.....there was a 10+ page thread on them.

Koda 8's. Only 8's with xbl^2 iirc, they'd sound very good. Koda's and the 8W7 are the only BL optimized drivers listed here, which is what Id shoot for in a SQ situation.
