why audiobahn sucks

-has 2 alum12q's in my girls car and while they arnt the best but a verrry long shot they can and do get fairly loud.

TA-DA! an answer (and an excuse.) What caused it to 'blow?' What were you putting it through? answers man, answers.... what are some other reasons you would NOT recomend this sub to anyone else? --- just curious...I am trying to learn more too.

Well at first i was under powering them real bad u know with that jensen but only did that for bout a couple days. then my friend let me borrow his 1200 directed for a day 2 hear em over powered and they still sounded like shit cause they would pick up on the low bass notes , but would not pick up on the mids or highs at all it would just like not make a bass sound at all would just be like flat it sucked.

I am sorry to be such an ***.... when you are talking about lows, mids and highs....are you talking about in the lower frequency range? ie: low 10-45 Hz, mid 46-100Hz and highs at 101-180Hz.......?????????

a subwoofier is only designed to reproduce sounds in the lower frequency range..(debatable, I know) . it isnt supposed to produce any sounds anywhere near or above 1KHz

I know i know , but i mean ok let's say i put on oh girl by paul wall it wouldn't even pick up the bass it would but i mean it would sound like shit i mean would be slightly low but would just ****.

well...in my experience things like leaking boxes, fatigued drivers, improperly wired subwoofers, improper filter settings, etc.... can cause declined performance in the sub. I read where you said the cone "ripped?" Too much power?...over excursion?... there are so many factors...

I didn't mean to go off on you but I have read so many threads hammering on the lower quality subs, people whom buy this equipment, etc. with no reasoning behind it other than it WAS NOT a JL/DD/XXX/Type R/Brahma.....or whatever the flavor of the month is.

anyways--- I will leave you alone.... gotta go,....... but I will check tomorrow and see what nast comments were written about me...this includes you too JIM! Try and behave!
