I'd say that was a marvelous invention.
My past effects me. The past of my family has no effect. They where sharecroppers and box movers. My mom is a lunch room lady. She made her career decisions and I made different ones.

She taught you to do better for yourself as did mine. You more than likely have a goal of doing better. But her making lunch for little jagoffs afforded you the opportunity to be where you are I assume. My mom worked in the hospital they blew up in Dark Knight. It was the office building for Brachs Candy Company. It was fixed up for the movie.

The Super soaker was just one of many inventions, but I'm sure you've used one before.

Nobody in my corporation or school that is above me is colored.

Good point since ur probably the only corporation and school in your area, and i doubt u all the people that are above you.

Yes she did. But she was aware that my success (if you want to call it that) would lead to a distance between us.

There's no money in non-violent rap. To me, that's an issue with the parents moreso than the rappers. Rappers are meeting the demands of the marketplace. Perhaps it's the marketplace that should change.

Rap changing is a start. Alot of change is needed for low income blacks to break the cycle. Obama becoming president is one. Even though he is not full black. It still motivates blacks to be successful

Do you think this attempt to "give back" limits economic growth? I certainly do, but I am bias as this works in the white community...the have's have and have nots can go to hell.

I certainly do! The problem with giving back to the community what you have earned, is that it doesn't incite others to have the same success through the same path. Its like baking a batch of cookies and giving the child 1 cookie. That child is going to beg you everyday for a cookie until all of it is gone. Telling the child to "get his own damn cookie the first time will teach him to fend for himself.

But for the record, I myself have never experienced slavery so I have nothing to get over. Some use it as a crutch, some use it as motivation. You may have had the misfortune of being around those that choose to use it as a crutch. Sadly you have also become a product of your environment. You're just white. You live around ignorance, so you form that opinion based off of what you see. But the whole slavery thing is too much for you to handle.

he asked me where all the smart black people are and i said above him. Maybe not at his job, but smart blacks probably make more money than him. Based on that fact, they dont live near him, they dont work around him, and they dont interact with him. That is my assumption
