Because black progress seems to be compared to whites. Ie, education (in the form of test scores) and wage gaps. I am not advocating paying a black less for doing the same job, but perhaps there is a hidden tradeoff. Perhaps I am stereotyping a bit, but I believe the "strength and cohesiveness" of black culture limits growth. Even that one advertisement on the radio speaks on "going back to the old neighborhood, to make it a better place or whatever". My experience with culture says to hell with the old neighborhood. I am glad I got away.'

All you have really done sir is spew insults since the first post. I just rejoice at the fact that not all of america thinks as some of you do. These types of discussions have gone on for years, and will continue to for many more. I just wish that there were a more organized way to go about this subject, but in the end will it really solve anything? Will one side see the point of the other? Rosa Parks is icon for standing up against an unjust law. What makes Rosa Parks different from Old White lady besides the color of her skin. If Rosa Parks painted her skin white there would not have been a problem. Why should there be laws that negatively effect because of the color of their skin?

I know you're a finance guy, and I could never encourage you to read up on black history, but it is interesting. Would change your whole outlook on the bullshit that you see today. What you see now is a sense of hopelessness and ignorance. Ignorant shows, ignorant music, ignorant clothes. I didn't say social collectivism is a bad thing. It could be a good thing. Either way, it's a different thing. And if you accept such collectivism as a part of your culture, then why measure against a culture that will slit your throat for a job interview (ie, the white culture)
