Why are small cars so **** loud?

My 2 door civic is surprisingly quiet on the outside, inside is a totally different monster

My 99 Integra puts up 140db on TL windows up on music but it really is quiet outside of the car.

An explorer with a crusty 12'' in a sealed box off practically no power is louder than me outside.

Inside the car is a WHOLE different story.

In a way it is cool to get so loud inside off as little power as I do but everybody wants to be heard rumbling down the street every once in awhile, I dont care who you are.......
