why are criminals so freaken stupid

There's a town in northeast Louisiana (I do not recall offhand which one, specifically) that confiscated a Lambo Countach (sp?) in a drug raid. Someone jokingly suggested that they paint it black and white and use the car for traffic enforcement.

The police chief thought that was a great idea and soon thereafter you could occasionally see said Lambo running down speeders and whatnot on I-20 here in Louisiana.

It's not very likely that your average crook is going to have anything that would outrun that!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

well due to the fact that my sound system in my 4 cyl 1986 4runner is about 197.42 DB it give it the extra push so i can out run that

Or on the high speed chases-they run out of gas, lol you should always fill up your tank when goin on a chase, just my $.02
Well yeah there are a lot more things you could do in preparation for a pursuit but criminals typically don't think they will be caught, usually thats why they do it.

The ones that kill me are the cop chase shows (World's Scariest Police Chases, Most Extreme, and shows of that ilk) where someone with some complete, total POS tries to outrun the cop cruiser.
While I'm not naive enough to think that your standard police package Crown Vic is anything astounding as far as performance goes you have to wonder at the wisdom of some idiot trying to get away from that Crown Vic in a mid-80s Nissan Sentra?!? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
Sentra SER > Cop cruiser //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

The SE-R wasn't available in the mid-80s //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

There weren't even any engine options - just interior comfort options.
