What would you rather buy. LMS ultra, or a 13W7?

Id pay the extra mula for a LMS. That sub is sickness ^^^

I personally wouldn't buy either...I don't think my ear isn't good enough to detect the distortionless awesomeness of the LMS motor. I'd rather have a pair of good sounding subs that'd cost me less than half of a LMS.

LMFAO 700-800$, you CANT find a Fi/Aq/DC sub for that much if you wanted to,A brand new fully loaded FI BTL 18 is like 5-600 max and JL doesnt even make a 15 or 18. What a joke. U can get 2x Aqs or Fis for the price of 1 W7. Will W7s even take the 3k+ watts like a BTL/HDC3/95xx? I will be the first to admit that JL makes good products but the prices they think there worth is ****ing stupid, anyone sucked into buying one is retarded. Even used 12w7s go for like 4-500$.

I never said it still wasnt over priced. I simply said that your bullshit $1200 MSRP is infact bullshit. Which also leads me to believe you have no clue what your talking about. For $800 you can get 2 DC Level 5 18"s that would do some very nice numbers. But then again JL isnt SPL based.

Trust me, you can hear the difference. I nice alternative to the LMS Ultra and 4000 is the TC-9 version. They're lighter and you can get the Eclipse versions (SW8000, SW8200) for less than $200. Right up until the suspension begins to beg for mercy, those things run whisper quiet. Have you had a chance to hear an LMS driver, just curious?

Nope, never heard a lms woofer...I've used a couple of 3HP woofers before, the tc-3000 and eclipse ti, but the inductance on those just killed the listening pleasure for me. What is this tc-9 version you speak of? Is it the tc-9 motor with the lms coil?

Basically the TC-9 version is the same as the 4000 but with less magnet. The result is a slightly higher Q and lower sensitivity. Same coil though. You can actually find some with a 3HP also which is right in between. Believe it or not the TC-9 version allows for the full 3.5" of stroke without the coil touching the backplate, provided it has the high roll surround. Actually i stated MSRP in the post. I never stated actual selling costs or used etc..and http://www.audiojunkies.com/product/309/jl-audio-13w7-reviews 1100$ msrp. So i fail to see the bullshit i posted?

Of course no one ever buys or sells for MSRP but I stated that for both subs and i was 100% correct. And thats for a 13"..the AQ is a 18" And DJ is going to have them listed around 309$ once his old stock is out. Hm 800$ more for a sub that hardly sounds better if at all and takes the same wattage. Its pretty obvious that JL is just retarded but i know you agree, not going to argue bout it anymore.
