Why all the hate on W7's?

are you crazy...SI Mag, Old Brahmas ,SS...etc these are all equal or better than the W7...I think you must work for Jl you get hyping it! not being a smartass but you are not being realistic about this.

They are not equal or better than the W7, none of them are. They might be very close performers, but they just aren't as good. I am being very realistic about it, unlike the internet woofer fanboys.

I don't work for JL nor do I even own a W7, I just have a lot of experience with it and had many chances to compare it to plenty of the high end internet woofers. The W7 is just better (some woofers perform VERY close.) It just annoys me when people say nonsense like "[insert forum boner here] will pwn the W7 at half the cost!!" and its just not true.

i dont feel like reading through all this, so ill just saw my little schpeel about the W7...

all i know is i loved my W7.

i went through XXX, TC3hp, Pg Ti Elite, Pg Ti's, Re MT, Alpine type R, type X AA avalanche and ive had plenty of time to mess wil the solo x, and L7's and mtx 9500's.

the W7 has been my favorite woofer so far. its just clean and loud and it combines the two so flawlessly.

i just got my Brahma 15 a few days ago...so now that will go in, and ill see how i like that.

I read, and I listened.You make some valid points.Like I said, the 3ohm coil is mostly for marketing.Hey, if you can sell someone your sub, try to sell them your amps too.Make it seem like the amps were made to go with the subs.I agree the audible difference will be minimal, but hey.It was their choice to go with.
The reason so many companies are out there right now (and successful) is becasuse everyone has different tastes.Not everyone will like the way one sub sounds.Not everyone will like the way one set of speakers sounds.Not everyone will like the way a certain amp sounds in their install.Not everyone will like the same head unit.And so on, and so forth.Variety is nice.

Yes I know dealer costs on the W7 (well, last time I checked), but I will not post exact prices.But I'll say that the 12" is around $400.

i got a good deal from my local deal since i get stuff from him all the time. i got my w7 for 400 + 100 for JL pro wedge box so i doubt that is that is dealer cost. o yeh plus tax heh so 500ish total
