Whta is a good amp for up to 300 for an SA-12?

I am not sure whether or not to get the 2 or 4 DVC version yet. I guess that is whatever the recommended amp will decide.

I am willing to spend up to 300 but it would be better if I could get away with less.

I would like to buy online and not used or anything like that.

 
AudioQue AQ1200D @2 ohms will do 870 watts rms would be perfect for one sa-12 I want to sell mine too. It also leaves you room to add another sub later and run it at 1ohm for 1200-1500watts.

 
So if i get the AQ1200D and plan on running it at 2 ohms, I should get the dual 4 ohm voice coil version?

just wire it like this?

You have a blown cap in the amp more than likely. Had the same thing happen to a soundstream amp.

No need to bypass the amp. Most use an LOC that takes the full amped signal and turns it into a flat RCA level signal. Here is the newest I have...
