never said full of talent...not at all...but I could understand why somebody with "an average ear" like yourselves would think that....there is a science behind the lyricism of great rappers....such as Jay Z...Nas...Big L...Big Pun...2pac...Biggie...that is complicated...and now even worst of all Rap definitely doesn't SEEM talented right now because most of the artists you hear are from the SOUTH...and god knows people like Young Jeezy, Mike Jones, Young Joc, etc headlining the Pop Charts for rap of COURSE it will seem untalented....here's a lesson son....
Wordplay....Wordplay is the art of hidden meanings in just a regular line that would seem like just normal bullshit to the average ear...which has a double meaning within' it...
example from Papoose...
"But my legs just feel to cramped up to bend
Cuz the 9 Stay between em' like one through ten"
just looks like normal "thuggish gangster" bullshit right? WRONG....we all know that the main meaning of the number 9 within' this bar is describing a gun...if you refer to the first line he is talking about his legs bein' cramped up...second like about the 9 stayin' between them....pretty basic.....but the last 4 words "like one through 10"......if you know basic math which I'm sure some of you don't...what number is between 1 and 10.......NINE...yea...you did it....so the 9 stays between his legs like the number one through 10.....9 is between 1 and 10 obviously and he keeps the nine between his legs which is where 9 lies between 1 and 10...while this is not the greatest example...but you don't seem very bright in sayin' rap is untalented so I picked a very basic bar to give you....we'll do one more...from Jay Z focusing on a gun subject since we've already begun to focus on it...don't want to stray away from it...your mind might be to feeble to make the switch...
Jay-Z from "Encore" off of the Black Album
"As Faith would have it...Jay's Status appears..to be at an all time High
Perfect time to say goodbye....When I come back like Jordan...wearin' the 4-5"
OK....the Black Album was Jay Z's "retirement" album and we all know Jordan retired and came back to play and what was his number? Very good......45....what is one of the most popular caliber of guns amongst some of these talentless thugs that you claim.....yup a.45.........since he is retiring he is sayin' When I come back like Jordan wearin' the 4-5...meaning Jordan came back wearin' the number 45...but he'll come back wearin' the Gun 45.....again...simple....very very simple...but to the untrained ear...just seemed like more talentless "thug bullshit"....
MOVING ON....to my personal favorite...Multi's....a Multi' is rhyming more then one syllable at the end of the line...instead of the Cat and the Hat bullshit untalented artists are accustomed to using...the ability to do this and still incorporate wordplay within' the same lines are the reasons why Jay-Z...Nas...Eminem...Papoose...Big L....Rakim...Big Pun...Biggie....are amongst the best in the world....
Example from Nas using a Multi' (Multiple Syllable rhyming) with an un-orthodox rhyme scheme( a "normal" rhyme scheme is your basic Dr. Suess cat in the hat rhyming which you hear most Southern and untalented EastCoast/Midwest/West Coast artists use)
I'm only usin' this example but the Multi's within' this paragraph are extremely plentiful...and for you slow people...I have "Bolded" the examples
They never realized, how real Nas, is so decisive
It's just the likeness, of Isrealites mist, that made me write this
A slight twist, of lime rhyme, be chasin down your prime time
Food for thought or rather mind wine
The Don Juan, features the freak shit, my thesis
on how we creep quick, ****in your wife that ain't so secret
It's mandatory - see that *****, they hand it to me
I got no game, it's just some *****es understand my story
There ain't no drama that my *****z never handle for me
My gator brand is Maurry, walkin through rough land before me
where the snakes put a smile on they face, hopin and prayin I'm stuck
Scopin they lay in the cut, weighin my luck
Player haters play this in cell blocks and rock stages
Winkin at some females cops with cocked gauges
Really it's papers I'm addicted to, wasn't for rap then I'll be stickin you
The mag inside the triple goose
as I said...the ability to do this and even keep your rhymes making sense is a great talent...escpecially while still incorporating wordplay....I will not go into metaphors because if you people don't know what a metaphor is then it is pretty obvious why you consider rap "untalented".....please....even flowing over a beat is hard...if you don't think so....TRY IT....why is rock talented? I bet you that you'll say "Oh..that's easy....because they play their own instruments...people in rap don't"....Bullshit...that is what Rock n Roll is about...Rap is the art of putting your words together in poetic form to express yourself over a beat...that is why rap may seem untalented these days...because we have less expressing these days and more flossing...who's car is nicer...diamonds....money...paper....I hate that shit to...but don't EVER take away credit from the people in this game that have talent.....
