Who's got the Hdc3 10's?? I have a question???!!!

Let me know if any of you have one or a set...

Heres the question... I just received a set from DJ... Awsome subs no doubt... Ill go into more detail later on....

To those that have them... Im wondering if you have ever noticed a distinct noise coming from them... Sounds like a tinsel lead slapping the cone ect... I know that they integrate the leads in the spiders ect... But thats how i can discribe it...

When i first ran them free air they were fine.. Boxed them up and ran a few tones on them they were fine... I didnt hear any nosies coming from the cones... Now after 24 hours i hear the slapping sound during excursion...

Dj told me that its normal ,, but hasn't had anyone call him about it... Im wondering if there could be a problem to come or if all those who have the 10's or which ever it maybe,,, Have ever noticed it.....

Normal??? Let me know thanks.....

Ok folks...

Sometimes my fetish with detail gets in the way of how i need to approach a noise that i may hear coming from Amplifiers "Switching Noise" or Sounds out of a "subwoofer" especially something that is clearly normal...

It was that same fetish that lead me to believe that this "Faint" sound was in fact NORMAL...

I was told from several souses that its normal being how the spiders are arranged ,,for them to make some faint mechanical noise during the break in procedure... Including DJ... Thanks DJ btw for the help...

Also keep in mind that i have less than 1 hour of playing time on these so im not even close to break-in.... Anything with this type of extensive build quality will have some type of mechanical noise during breakin or even during normal use... ITS NORMAL....

Ive noticed this same noise on pretty much every other sub that i have played with or used... So with that being said...

I threw them back on the sundown and ran them some more.... On may back from the shop home takes me about a hour drive.... when i got back after my PAINFUL but awsome drive... I dropped a 30HZ tone on them opened the hatch stuck my ear up to them and NOTHING!!! the noise was GONE //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.....

Keep in mind i say 30 cycles because it unloads the enclosure and basicly allows me to run them freeair "at low volume" without the having to take them beasts back out of the box... That allows me to hear the motor, spiders, ect... "PERFECT":) No noise...

DJ... You have one serious subwoofer here... No Joke... Folks are freakin out that have 12's and 15's when they hear 2 10's beat like this.... Seriously.... Ill give you all the final TL score on the daily setup after breakin...I thank you and everyone for your time... No worries... I cant even really heat um up!!!!!! "good thing btw" lol

If you all haven't tried the C3 TRY ONE... for real...
