sounds like you are all getting ripped.

I went with AFI (armed forces Insurance) since I'm military, 18, no wrecks or tickets, bare minimum liability is still 72 a month for me. And I payed the 6 months upfront //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

They said it will probably drop to about 50 a month when I turn 19.

When i was calling around AAA actually gave me the highest quote.

AAA seems to be the cheapest for autos around here. I work for a different company that I won't mention since they dont operate in that state.

geico is around $100 a month for 6 months and i'm 20...

Jeeeez thats wild. I'm 19 and paying $73/month for my 98 A4 and $17/month for my 00 Ninja with State Farm.

I have a few claims on my record and AAA was going to raise my insurance from $700 to $1300 every six month.

I called a friend of mine who happens to be a State Farm agent and even he couldnt help but redirected me to AIG. He said that is where he sends all his friends(he is also in a band/club scene) with bad driving records.

I called AIG and they quoted me $375 every six months for the same amount of coverage and I have been with them ever since. I havent had claim with them yet, so who knows how well they will handle it, but they are definately the cheapest...maybe thats why they are in so much financial trouble

So $62.50 a month for full coverage(100k/300k, $250 deductable) on a 2003 Protege5

Sure dont miss the days I was paying State Farm $325 month for my RX7 and they still dropped me

Funny/sad story...here in WI, which is basically the drunk driving capital of the world, it isnt a law to even have insurance and it is also illegal for the police to set up random sobriety checkpoints

Just called AIg they Told me $463 Down Payment and $260 a Month Just for Liability......LMFAO they said because im 18 and dont really have driving experience.

do you have a horrible driving record or a criminal record?

on a 1989 car there is no way it should be that high just for liability

might want to try to get it listed as a collectors or classic car(not sure if 20 years old is enough though) and tell them you rarely drive it. that might increase full coverage, but it may help lower liability, but not sure

Something has to be going on with your driving record............it will not be that high if you had 0pts and what not.

I pay 100 dollars a month........full coverage on two cars and renters insurance.

Even when I was stupid and had 10pts on my DL years ago I never had to pay those prices. Most I was at was 200, full coverage a long time ago.

Currently have 0pts on my DL now.
