Wondering which way to face my ports and subs, i was thinking to just put both up, but i'm having so much trouble fitting these freaking 20" long ports into my box designs i'm about to change everything. Help please

I don't know if this will help much, but my friend faces his aero ports to the driver side and has his subs foward.

I thought it was subs forward and port up?

Anyways, I'm sure the OP isn't looking for a 60+ hz fart machine like the trucks in usaci.

My advice is everything firing up or subs up and ports to the drivers side.

downfiring is what i've found to be the loudest. never fired ports to the drivers side however.

Yeah, I believe brad eubank had mentioned once that he did a daily install that way and it came out well.

does it matter if the port goes past the motor on the subs??

Shouldn't affect performance.

But as a rule of thumb I try to keep the subs as far away from the port opening(s) as possible.
