so a certain amp was damaged by ummm an anonymous gentlemen and it was dropped and the rca's were plugged in and one of the tips broke off in the amp! im just wondering if i wont be using that rca terminal to plug them into, and buy some new rca's ofcourse, could that tip stuck in the input potentially affect the amp? just want to ask before i go ahead and do it. thanks

Yes it potentially could harm the amp. I suggest you get the tip out before you power up the amp.

if there was no signal to the tip then how could it harm the amp? wouldnt it just act as a butt plugg so to speak?
