I think you can have them built such that they produce max at idle, but its more money.

for the most part it depends on the pully size... on top of that, he isnt worried what the alt does @idle but more so what it does @2000rpms. Which is where they make their power.

Did not get to install it yesterday, due to my timing belt all cracked. So i will be slapping in everything today. Group 31 yellow top, 200a High output alt, new belts, and to finally change my oil since it has passed the deadline. Will update everyone with the results.
