Whoa...BIG PROB!

Ok 95 grand cherokee.....when i turn my bright lights on my horn honks and a lilttle security button flashes just for a split second and when i turn them off the light flashes but it doesnt honk then.....every once in awhile when i turn the car on just by cranking it the horn honks.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif so i have no clue what is going on i just know it is totally embarassing. if anyone has any idea what this prob might be let me know, thanks alot....

Some kind of wiring problem. All I can say is that I would hate to have to track the source down. Maybe someone on here has more info.

Pioneer DEH-6600, 2 L7 12s, 1200.1 sotck infinity speakers.....i need a new battery i know or a cap or a bigger altenator but i just dont understand why the horn is honking, i dont have anything crossed

i say the problem is located in one of two places. It could be in the stearing column area where the switch for the lights and horn are located, maybe a wire has just worn down and is touching something else. I am not familiar where the horn is located on ur car, but if its under the hood (probably), then the wires going to the lights and the wires going to the horn could be touching (metal to metal) and causeing it to go screwy. Another thing i just remembered is it could be a fuse blown or maybe a light has gone out somewhere. I know on the 99+ Grands, if the 3rd brake light goes out, something on the dash board (can quite remember exactly what it is) lights up or turns on as a sign that it needs to be checked, a warning signal if you may.

Thanks alot....awhile back i had to replace a couple fuses under the hood cuz somethin kept messin up and it cost a decent bit of $ but everything seemed to be going good.....i took the system out at the time and ever since i hooked it back up it does it again so i think i might need to take it to a dealer and see if they can figure out the prob cuz it might be somethin more than i can handle but thanks alot for your help

Nice amp...what about wiring? What have you wired in your car? Size and all new wiring jobs...

I had the same problem with my company truck and they had to replace the turn signal switch and that fixed the problem

My taillight bulb went out awhile back and i changed it and the little thing at the bottom near the gear shifter where it tells how many miles till my next oil change or watever has always said rear lamp failure even tho i fixed the prob ive just never paid attention to it so who knows.....i just say that thing is a pure death trap lol but i have a sound system oh yea
