Who uses a PS3 for blu-ray?

It's the only 2.0 player on the market ( unless someone has brought out one recently ) all the other players require firmware updates, the ps3 has internal network card so it can update much easier and does it on its own just turn it on and connect.

I

I got a 46" Samsung 1080p LCD last week so I was considering getting a ps3 for Christmas to play blu-rays and to play some games.
So anyone that uses the ps3 for blu-ray, is it a good player?
Like lilmaniac said it is maybe the only player out that you can upgrade, but I only use mine for games. My Talladega nights and spiderman 3 have never been played.

There are reasons to argue it, but most consider it the best blu-ray player on the market. It can't bitstream lossless codecs, which is a downside, but as long as you have a processor/receiver you'll be good.

Or maybe you don't care about lossless audio.
