Who lives in an apartment?

I am pretty sure about moving out around the 1st of the year. I got a promotion today and feel that I make about enough to move out. I work two jobs and make around $3500 per month before taxes. The place I am looking at costs $760, but no utilities are included besides cable. It comes with an adjacent garage so that is cool. It is 1 bedroom and I will be by myself. I will have to pay for electricity, water, and hi-speed internet. I don't have a car payment or anything.

I am thinking I should have enough to pay for this apartment. Is there anything that I am missing or should consider before moving out? I am kind of tired of living at home, at it's hard to impress the ladies by taking them to your parent's house.

get the hell out. shit if i was making that kinda cash i'd be out. idk how old you are but in my early 20's i'm not interested in owning a house. that seems like decent rent. depends on location wether that is good rent or not.

don't move out w/o a good 5X rent AFTER paying first/last //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/imo.gif.3a57bcc70a4835dc53e86ffae1a0b041.gif
Good idea!

Sounds like an expensive place to live.
$760 for one bedroom and no utilities?

A friend of mine is only paying ~$1000 for a one bedroom in berkeley.
It has a garage and it's brand new. I don't care about the age more than the garage. Only place I found with a garage.

ive been saving to move out right after i finish highschool, although i am going to get a 2 bedroom apartment, i hate living at home its the worst. a 2 bedbroom apartment around here is usually 600-900 so not that bad.

or get your parents to move out and have the house to yourself like i did //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif working out great so far
how did you manage that one?????

Lawl.

I pay $449 a month including ALL utilities, cable w/ HBO, high speed internet, and such.

It's a brand new place, on campus here @ UC, and has a monitored parking garage below.

It's a 4 person... and we each pay $449 a piece.
